I enjoy finding, trying and hopefully developing recipes like this. I looked through a lot of old cookery books to find this so that I could have a go at matching the famous bottle we all know and use. Well, it’s not quite the same, and you can’t really match that distinctive taste, but it’s fun and interesting to make, especially when you have to wait a few weeks for the result!

The Worcestershire sauce recipe must be 160 years old. The recipe was found and given to the makers in India. They soon discovered how popular the sauce was and I don’t think they ever looked back.
