Try to get hold of Alphonso or Kesar mangoes for this lassi to taste really authentic. With the big, shop-bought mangoes of the West you get a very different, though still lovely drink. Mango lassi is the drink of choice of most of our Indian clients. I make it with soy milk and low-fat yogurt to keep it light and leave more room for food.
