Minced Meat Loaf in a Tray

  • 1 kg (2 lb) lamb, beef or veal, minced
  • 2 onions, grated


Have the meat minced two or three times if possible. Add the grated onions and work them together to a very smooth, soft paste, as for all kofta mixtures. Season to taste with salt, pepper and cinnamon or allspice, and mix these spices in thoroughly.

Spread the meat mixture evenly over the bottom of a large oiled or buttered baking tray, flattening it out
