This dish can be made equally well with Italian spaghetti, macaroni or tagliatelle. The sauce is rich enough to make a main dish and has a particularly Arab flavour.
Fry the onions then the garlic in 2tablespoons oil in a saucepan until golden. Add meat and brown it all over. Season with salt, pepper and allspice. Add tomatoes and tomato concentrate, stir well and simmer gently in the tomato juice, covered, adding a little water if necessary. Cook for 1½ hours,
