This easy dish is an ideal and delicious alternative to rice, pasta or potatoes. A version featured in the early edition is heavier with a lot of butter and the initial frying of the cracked wheat. You may well want to adopt this one as an instant health food which will do as an accompaniment to stews, grills and indeed to all foods that are usually coupled with rice. Of course, it is better when stock is used, but water will do.
