Cut a slice off the top of the melon and set aside to use as a lid. Remove the seeds and scoop out as much of the flesh as you can, being careful not to bruise the outer skin. Scoop melon balls out with a rounded scooper, or use a spoon and then cut the chunks into small pieces.
