This is a popular dessert in which alcohol was sometimes added by Jewish households.
Wash the prunes if necessary and put them in a bowl. Pour boiling hot tea through a strainer over them to cover and let them soak overnight. They will swell and become very tender. Drain and place them in a serving bowl. Sprinkle with liqueur. (No sugar is required.)
Whip the cream until stiff, and stir in sugar to taste and vanilla. Smother the prunes with cream and chill for a few hou
