Challah is a rich, brioche-like bread of Ashkenazi Jewish origin. It is usually braided and typically eaten on ceremonial occasions such as Shabbat and important Jewish holidays.
Thank you to Len Lipitch for sharing the recipe for your delicious challah – the best I’ve ever tasted. Len advises allowing the challah to rise long and slowly. Don’t rush the process, so the challah will be light and tender.
