Florence Bowe’s Queen of Puddings

Another pud that conjures up childhood memories. Interestingly, everybody seems to have a different opinion about what Queen of Puddings should both look and taste like. This recipe is a combination of several people’s firmly held views. It’s delicious but, as I’ve discovered, it’s hard to please everyone! My aunt, Florence Bowe, who was very fussy as far as Queen of Puddings was concerned, gave this version her seal of approval.
