Inspired by the wonderful book Kale, Glorious Kale by Catherine Walthers, this smoothie is as good for you as it is good tasting. Strangely, you don’t really taste the kale or dates, only the berries—a definite plus when serving this to children. I use frozen berries not just for convenience, but also to thicken and chill the smoothie without watering it down with ice.
