  • 1 kg beef cheeks
  • 4 onions
  • 4 carrots
  • 3 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 2 stems lemongrass
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 litre beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 4 small zucchini (courgettes)

1 flameproof casserole dish

1 chopping board


Cut the beef cheeks into four pieces. Peel the onions and cut them into wedges. Peel and slice the carrots into rounds.

Brown the beef cheeks well in the oil in a flameproof casserole dish. Add the onions, carrots, lemongrass stems and honey.

Pour in the beef stock and season. Cover and cook in the oven for 3 hours. At serving time, add the sesame seeds and sliced rounds of raw zucchini.
