This is a real nostalgia moment for me, with happy memories of my mum always heating up brioche and serving it with the fancy jam for breakfasts in bed. These are comforting and wonderful eaten warm, although the fruity flavours mean they would suit an al fresco summer breakfast in the garden, made complete with fresh coffee and orange juice. Plain (all-purpose) flour works just as well as bread flour, so use whatever you have to hand.
