I love a good, flaky scone and I truly love any bake involving cheese. The butternut squash in these autumnal savoury scones is subtle and sweet, and pairs so well with the herbs and spices. I love using frozen butternut squash in this recipe (or swapping it for pumpkin). Of course, fresh is fine too – just make sure it’s totally cooked before using. These work perfectly with a good soup or stew.
