Lattice-topped Cherry & Strawberry Pie

Cherry pie was one of my top requests as a child/teenager, with a request for cherry pie in place of birthday cake one year... To say this is one of my ‘death row’ dessert options would be an understatement. This is a bit of a cheat version, as I don’t use a pastry base, which would add time to the process, just a lattice pastry top. I recommend serving it hot with a heap of good-quality vanilla ice cream – the lack of base means it is best served as a warm bowl dessert!
