This is the result of needing something on some of my darker days, those days when getting out of bed can feel a little harder or perhaps it’s just a day that requires unthinkable amounts of chocolate. The Nutella gets frozen in a layer that then goes in the middle of the brownie batter for a delicious melty middle!
Line a 20cm (8in) square brownie/baking tin with baking parchment.
Loosen the Nutella in a bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds, then spread it over the base of the lined brownie/baking tin to form an even layer. Place in the freezer for 45 minutes. Once frozen into a solid layer, remove the baking parchment and Nutella from the tin and freeze the parchment and Nutella again.
