Cherry Florentine Hearts

These chewy, chocolate-y, cherry cookies are a terrific Valentine’s bake, and make for a really cute gift. Florentines have it all – nuts, dried fruit and lots of chocolate – and these are a slightly more glamorous heart-shaped version of the classic. You will need a heart-shaped cookie cutter ideally – I find shaping them freehand with a spoon can result in them being a little ‘splodgy’ looking.
