  • About

Ripe bananas, pan-fried in a caramel/cinnamon sauce, before being topped with ice cream and scatterings of pecans: that hot/cold situation is the epitome of late-night treat. And this can be conjured up in just 15 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey

Method

Peel the bananas and slice them at an angle into diagonal discs about 1cm (½in) thick.

Heat a frying pan (skillet) over a medium heat and add the butter, honey and cinnamon. Once the butter has melted, add the slices of banana and fry for about 2 minutes before flipping and frying for another 2 minutes. They should look golden and caramelised.

Place in a bowl, top with ice cream
