One of my favorite parts of a dinner party is near the end when guests are relaxing at the table over coffee, digesting the meal, and enjoying each other’s company. In the middle of the summer, however, a hot cup of coffee isn’t necessarily what one craves. To remedy this, on a warm night I serve a light fruit dessert followed by a mini coffee-flavored custard.
