Many people are aware that peach melba, composed of peaches, vanilla ice cream, and raspberry sauce, was named after the Australian opera singer Nellie Melba. What people may not know is that the classical chef Auguste Escoffier created this dessert. In his lifetime, Escoffier created many dishes in the names of famous actresses and singers. Considering that he lived in the 1800s,
