This rich strudel, studded with dried fruit and nuts, is a perfect dessert for winter when fresh fruit is not as plentiful. This strudel is particularly beloved in Austria; anything referred to as coming from the Tyrol makes the Austrians recall the pleasure of vacationing in the mountains and donning Lederhosen or Dirndln.
