My daughter Daisy introduced me to this excellent pasta dish which has a Sicilian lustiness of flavour. If you faithfully follow the instructions, it is foolproof, and can be served as a main dish after a starter of grilled red peppers. A wide, but not too shallow, heatproof pottery bowl that can go into the oven safely, or stand on a hotplate over a heat diffuser, makes the final assembly of this (and many other pasta dishes) easier.
