Broccolini, a relative to broccoli, is tender and mild in flavor. Puréed in pesto, its slight bitterness pairs well with spicy sausages. This is a filling sandwich, so a simple salad is all you need to make it a meal.

- Preheat the sandwich grill. Place the sausages, cut side down, on the grill, close the top plate, and grill until the sausages are cooked through, 4–5 minutes. Transfer the sausages to a plate, keeping the grill on and wiping the grill plates clean.
