  • 2 pounds fresh fava beans (in the pod) or 1 pound frozen (shelled)
  • 3 cups long-grain

Method

  1. Shell beans from pods and remove outer layer of skin. If using frozen fava beans, soak in warm water for a few minutes, then peel.
  2. Pick over and wash 3 cups of rice 5 times in a large container of warm water. Drain.
  3. Bring 10
