Bread and Butter Pickles

This is as basic as a basic pickle can be: spiced but pretty sweet, with a bit of crunch left in it, but flexible enough for your burger bun or sandwich. When you think of the ideal pickle, this could be it. I’ve dialed down the sugar a bit because I don’t like my sweet pickles that sweet, but you are certainly invited to amplify it as needed.
