Banana and Honey Spread

  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 4 slices of brown or white bread from a large sliced loaf


Make sure the butter is not hard from the refrigerator. If it is, let it stand until soft enough to beat with a spoon. Find a small mixing bowl, a wooden spoon, a plate, a fork for mashing the bananas and a knife for spreading.

Measure the butter and honey into a mixing bowl. Using a wooden spoon, beat together until light and creamy.

Peel the bananas and mash on a plate using a fork. Add the banana to the butter and honey and mix well.

Spread the mixture generously on the slices of bread. Cut each slice into quarters and serve.
