  • 1 lb beef or pork sausages
  • ½ oz lard, dripping or vegetable fat

Method

Find a roasting tin, a sieve, a bowl for mixing and a wooden spoon. Turn on oven heat to hot (400 °F or Gas No 6) and find a pair of oven gloves.

Place the sausages in a medium-sized roasting tin and add the fat. Set aside while preparing the batter.
