Find a bowl for mixing, a wooden spoon, a sieve and a small frying pan or omelette pan. Choose a plate for serving and put it to warm. Cut a square of greaseproof paper or foil, sprinkle it with castor sugar ready for the pancakes and put it near the place where you will be working.
