Ingredients: 1 egg; 100 g (4 oz) (or 4 rounded tablespoons) soft brown sugar; 100 g (4 oz) butter or margarine; 100 g (4 oz) butter or margarine; flaked almonds to decorate; few drops vanilla essence; 1 rounded tablespoon honey; 200 g (8 oz) (or 8 rounded tablespoons) self raising flour; pinch of salt

Find a plate, a medium and a small mixing bowl, and a wooden spoon for mixing. Find a baking tray and grease it, and a teaspoon to shape the cookies. Turn on the oven heat to moderate 180°C (350°F or Gas No 4). You will also need a wire cooling tray and a pair of oven gloves.
