You will need a small saucepan and a wooden spoon, a mixing bowl, lemon squeezer and a tablespoon. Find a chopping board, kitchen knife and a vegetable peeler for cutting up the fruits.
Measure the sugar and water into a saucepan. Set over low heat and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Then raise the heat and bring the syrup to the boil. Draw off the heat and add the squeezed lemon juice. Pour the syrup into a mixing bowl and let it cool while you are preparing the fruits.
