  • About

The Romans farmed mussels in Italy, mainly down at the Gulf of Taranto and although I prefer to eat cold water mussels, I like this recipe very much. The flavour of the chillies and tomatoes is more unusual than in the northern European recipes. I like to think of the rich ancient Roman fish aficionados lolling in their villas savouring this dish.
