Although it may sound sort of, oh, geriatric at first glance, this humble dish is outstanding.

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼

Method

  • In a medium saucepan, stir together cups water, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, vanilla bean, cinnamon and salt. Stir in fruit. Over medium-high heat, bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until fruit is plump and tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer fruit to a heatproof bowl. Return saucepan to high heat and boil u
