These toasty, sugary, dangerously addictive almonds are reminiscent of the ones served warm in paper cones at carnivals and fairs. In a beribboned Mason jar or cellophane bag, they make a scrumptious edible gift.

Method

Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat oven to 300°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a large bowl, whisk together egg whites, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well ble
