Method

Toast the almonds in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until fragrant, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove the almonds and set aside.

Combine the water, quinoa, raisins, cinnamon and nutmeg in the same small saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Cover, reduce to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes. Stir in the oats, replace the cover and cook for an additional 6 minu
