It’s sweet, savoury and spice all in one with these mighty muffins. The grated carrot, apple and butternut squash all keep the mixture gloriously soft, plus I can’t think of a better way of upping your veggie intake for the day (and I’m pretty sure kids will agree!).


  • 150 g/5 oz plain wholemeal flour
  • 50 g/2


Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 and line a 12-hole muffin tin with paper cases.

Put all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Put all of the wet ingredients into another bowl and stir to combine. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients gently until combined.<
