I fondly remember that as soon as the Pakistani cargo of mangoes docked at Jeddah Islamic sea port in early May, almost every juice corner (drinks kiosks that are usually on corners) and café in the Hijaz region had their own variation of this mango shake on their menus. It was the star seller, and once you take your very first sip, you will realize why: it is simple and packed full of fresh mangoes. The ideal varieties to use are Pakistani or Indian mangoes, but avoid Brazilian ones.
