This dip goes well with ayam goreng and white rice. It is also delicious with mee hoon sup berempah. For a less spicy sauce, use just one bird’s eye chilli.

Ingredients

2 red chillies
3 bird’s eye chillies
1 shallot, peeled and diced

Method

Remove the seeds from the red chillies for a less spicy sauce. Chop the red chillies and bird’s eye chillies finely. Place in a small bowl.
Add the shallot, sweet soy sauce, lime/lemon juice and salt and mix well. Serve in small saucers.
