If you have a tried and tested recipe for making perfect rice, stick to it. This is just how I cook it. The quantities here are enough for four people to go with a meal as an accompaniment. Asian people tend to eat more rice, treating it as the core of a dish and using the curries and side dishes simply as seasonings.
