These are two very simple marzipan recipes. I came up with the idea for Cherry and Walnut Marzipan when I rediscovered a jar of cherries that had been soaking in brandy for years. The Seville Orange and Whisky Marzipan is best made (in my opinion) with dark bitter marmalade and a peaty malt whisky, such as an Islay. If you prefer to omit the alcohol, you can use a little orange-flower water and fresh orange juice instead, or try swapping the cherries for other preserved fruits such as pears
