  • 1 pint strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¼ cup

Method

Place the strawberries in a bowl and toss them with the 2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix together the Cointreau or Triple Sec and orange juice, pour over the berries, and leave to macerate for 2 hours at room temperature.

Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar until they begin to hold soft
