  • About

In St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospect there’s a bakery and coffee shop that used to be known as Filippov’s. The walls are paneled in mahogany, the ceiling is mirrored, the floors are marble. Entering the shop is almost like entering another era. An enticing array of cookies and cakes beckons from behind large glass-enclosed cases. The specialty of the house is these mint cookies, sold by the gram and offered to the buyer in paper cones. They’re so light and refreshing, they’re hard to resist
