This is the quickest chutney to whip up, and works well with most dishes, adding a lovely touch of spice, flavour and tang. It goes particularly well with Handvo, and works perfectly to spice up any thali.

Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons lemon or lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons jaggery, grated, or brown sugar

Method

Place all the ingredients in a small mixing bowl and mix together vigorously.

This will keep for 7–10 days in an airtight container in the fridge.
