  • 100 g ( oz/½ cup) yellow mung dal

Method

Place the yellow mung dal in a sieve and rinse under cold running water a few times until the water is clear. Place in a bowl and cover the dal with about double the amount of water, then leave to soak for at least 5 hours or ideally overnight.
