Saffron milk is great to have at bedtime, especially if your mind needs calmness or you are prone to insomnia, as its known benefits include promoting a sound night’s sleep. Just a few strands of saffron will do the trick.

Ingredients

  • 250 ml (9 fl oz/1 cup) milk

Method

Place the milk and saffron in a saucepan and bring to the boil on a medium heat. Add the honey, if using. Pour into a mug and sip once cool enough.
