Pour the milk into a pot. Split the vanilla bean in half lengthways and scrape the seeds into the pot. Add the empty bean and bring the milk to the boil. Stir in the millet, then turn off the heat, cover and set aside for 10 minutes. Discard the vanilla bean. Fluff the millet with a fork, and leave to cool.
