Muhammara is a bit of a super-star in the Turkish meze kitchen. It works well with warm bread or crudités, or try using it as a dip for a platter of assorted lettuce leaves. Pictured on far left.
I usually mix this by hand as it is better if it has got some chunk and texture to it. Mix all the ingredients, trickling the olive oil in last until the paste is smooth and fairly stiff. It keeps for a week in the fridge.
