A latte-style masala coffee with warming cinnamon and aromatic cardamom. The creamy coffee pairs particularly well with maple syrup for an autumnal feel. Feel free to replace the maple syrup with hazelnut or coconut syrup if you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 275 ml ( fl oz/generous 1 cup) whole (full-fat) milk or your favourite plant-based milk

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a saucepan set over a medium heat. Once it comes to a boil, add the cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg. Allow to simmer over a low heat for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add the coffee and maple syrup, whisking to incorporate. Continue to whisk vigorously or use a milk frother to achieve a creamy consistency.
