Combine 1 cup (250 milliliters) of reduced-cream white sauce with ¼ cup (60 milliliters) of cooked tomato coulis. Adjust the consistency by further reducing the sauce (to thicken) or adding stock or heavy cream (to thin). Finish the sauce with ounces (45 grams) of butter to give it a smooth texture.
