  • About

A Mélanie version of a very Alemannic dish, which in the Alsatian part of my family was called Schnitten (in Germany it is called Himmel und Erde, meaning “Heaven and Earth”). Marie Thérèse Hermann has another version of it cooked in a cocotte, which she calls Lou Cartis (“the quarters”) because the fruit is cut into quarters.
