Sprinkles Sandwiches

We call them ‘hundreds and thousands’, but in the Netherlands the chocolate sprinkles sandwich has become an art form, enjoyed by children and adults alike. The supermarkets stock boxes of different flavoured sprinkles known as Hagelslag or ‘hailstorm’, which you scatter over an open sandwich. The sprinkles come in white, milk or dark chocolate and there are even candy covered sprinkles in fruit flavours.
