I’m not a doughnut lover, unless I make my own, when I can eat them hot and oozing, straight out of the fryer. You could try dusting them with different flavoured sugars like lavender- or cinnamon-infused sugars.
Put the flour, yeast, salt and 75g of the sugar into a bowl.
Warm the milk and butter in a small pan over a medium heat, taking it off the heat when the butter starts to melt. Beat the eggs into the warmed mixture and then pour this into your bowl of dry ingredients. Using your hands, knead the dough until it is smooth -this will take about 5 minutes.
Pat the dough into a round
